Dumpster rentals typically range from $295 to $695, depending on the size, the type of debris, the delivery location and the rental length. The price is flat-rate and includes delivery, pickup and disposal within the included weight limit, with no hidden fees. Each size states its weight allowance on its page, for example about 2 to 3 tons on a 10 or 15 yard and 4 to 5 tons on a 30.

Yes. Delivery, pickup and disposal within the weight limit are included in your quote, along with a standard rental period of 5 to 7 days. Extra days carry an additional daily fee.

Going over the included weight, keeping the container past the rental period, restricted or prohibited materials, and extra pickups or swaps. Our terms list them, and we explain them before delivery.

Yes, but in a 10 or 15 yard, because of the weight limits. Heavy material uses up the included weight fast, so tell us roughly how much there is and we recommend the most cost-effective size.

We accept major credit cards, electronic payments and business checks. Payment is processed when your booking is confirmed to secure your delivery date. Contractors can receive emailed invoices and monthly billing if needed.

On private property the rules depend on the city. In Chesapeake, the City's Portable Storage Containers page sets limits for portable storage containers on residential lots and includes roll-off containers and dumpsters in its definition of a container; the page does not say which limits apply to a dumpster, so we check the City's rules before booking. A spot in a City street or right-of-way may need a permit in most places. We check the rules for your address before booking, and each town page says what that place asks for.

It is never the first plan. A spot in a street or right-of-way may need a City permit. Virginia Beach requires a permit for any activity in its right-of-way, and Portsmouth and Hampton have their own rules for containers in streets. We found no state dumpster or hauler licence. Some places go further: Isle of Wight County requires a Board licence to haul refuse for hire on County streets (sec. 8-17), and Carrollton is in a County franchise area for residential collection. Delivery and pickup run Monday through Saturday, and the times are set on the call. The phone line is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but we do not promise night, Sunday or after-hours drop-offs.

We take precautions to protect your property during delivery and pickup. Protective boards go under the container on request, and we recommend them on any finished surface such as a driveway, pavers or a curb.

A flat, stable surface such as a driveway or pavement, with room for the container: about 12 feet long for a 10 yard, 14 for a 15, and about 22 for a 20 and up, all about 8 feet wide. Leave clear room for the truck to reach it and pull out, and move vehicles, equipment and obstacles before the drop.
